A individual charged with pursuing Kate McCann allegedly left her a voicemail message which posed: "imagine I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, 24, who witnesses stated has persistently claimed she was the vanished Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are on trial indicted with stalking Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February this year.

On Monday, the tribunal was told communication data and evidence obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test over that period.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most covered missing child cases and remains unsolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

A separate recorded message, shared in court, captured Ms Wandelt stating: "I understand I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine was, but I feel what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am she? What happens next? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I do not need money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I only wish to discover," she added.

The jury was told that by means of electronic messages, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a genetic test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a effort to display a resemblance to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who compiled the data, advised the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, Mr McCann picked up a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "incorrect contact information."

That day Ms Wandelt deposited a recording on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I will persist and I will prove my position."

The court heard Mrs Spragg developed a connection through digital means with Ms Wandelt before accompanying her on a appearance to the McCanns' property in that area in last December.

Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had communicated through messaging service to Mrs McCann to state the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the time preceding the visit to that location, that area, in December 2024.
