Establishing Ties in the Maga-Verse

A Controversial Partner

Her effort to bring American conservative media to the United Kingdom has pushed her closer to controversial figures such as John Solomon.

He founded Just the News following scrutiny after he was accused of pushing inaccurate reports about the President's actions in the Ukraine, as well as controversial stories about the former US ambassador to Ukraine.

His claims were echoed across the conservative press, with he serving as a frequent visitor on Sean Hannity's influential cable news broadcast. The former president personally boosted Solomon's reporting.

A Cross-Border Foray

While Truss's stilted style and professional woes have invited ridicule at home, a number of stateside commentators do not dismiss her attempts to reinvent herself as a UK offshoot of the Make America Great Again press.

Hinton said the expansion of the digital conservative movement in the UK in recent times meant the "potential to have a larger effect is considerable."
