Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

A plane carrying the US defense secretary was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, as stated by an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down based on established safety measures and all passengers, such as Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer said in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This incident is not the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has suffered equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to head back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
