Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was made after an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.

The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

He has published in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
